A limited number of facilities have enabled the ability for public defenders and other legal representatives to utilize Ameelio for confidential video visitations with their clients. In order to access this ability you have to create an organization, as an organization profile is necessary in order to be able to schedule privileged and confidential calls.
To start using Ameelio Connect for Providers, you’ll need to:
1. Submit a visitor application form to the correctional facility
2. Create an Ameelio Connect account
3. Create and join an organization on Ameelio Connect
4. Request a contact and upload your photo ID
5. Wait for the facility to approve your request
6. Use Ameelio Connect to schedule visits and receive calls
If you haven't already created an Ameelio Connect account, then to get started creating an account as a Attorney visit the following link:

Otherwise if you've already created a personal account follow the steps below to create an organization.
Note: Your organization and credentials will need to be reviewed by facility staff, this service is only intended for Legal Professionals & clients
- 1. Visit app.ameelio.org
- 2. Login to your personal Ameelio account
- 3. Click "Settings" from the left hand dashboard and scroll completely down
- 4. Click " Create Ameelio Organization" in the bottom center left
5. You will now see an organization page as shown below, Input your Organizations information then hit submit
6. After your organization has been created , you will need to log out then back into your account or hit refresh so the dashboard reflects your organization info in the top left corner to distinguish this account as a legal provider as seen below.
7. Now with this account type you can request contacts and schedule privileged communications with a client.
