USPS and Ameelio can not guarantee any delivery date. Delivery dates in the app are projections by USPS and may vary depending on a variety of circumstances.
If your letter was not received by your contact:
- You may have entered the wrong address or incorrect inmate information. Kindly reconfirm these details in your next send by visiting the website of the facility and confirming if the address or facility name is changed.
NOTE: If a facility has changed its name but the address is the same, it's possible mail may still be rejected. In these instances please contact support and verify if this has been updated in our system facility list. Once updated, you will need to re add your contact and select the updated facility name, as previous contacts won't change automatically.
- Your letter may have violated the facility's mailing policy. Some facilities do not accept certain types of mail, such as postcards. They also may have deemed your letter "inappropriate." For more information on their mailing policy, please refer to their website or contact them directly.
- Facilities do not always immediately distribute the mail they receive. Please reach out to them to inquire about specific letters/postcards.
Ameelio does not have any oversight of your mail once it is with USPS/the facility. All of the tracking information we have available is presented to you in the app. USPS does not guarantee every mail piece will receive a scan at every stop.
