Who needs to create an Ameelio Connect account?

Anybody who is 13 years or older and is either visiting the facility or joining a video call with an incarcerated person needs to create an Ameelio Connect account. User's cannot share email addresses, and will need to have their own separate accounts.

Minors 12 years old or younger do not need to create an account and can be added as minors in the guest section.

Note: Minors 13 years old to 18 years old must create an account, but they will not be prompted to submit their photo IDs like adult users. Different facilities have different policies surrounding minors and we always recommend reviewing the policies on their respective websites. For example, all Iowa based facilities will still require paper applications for minors.
